Goodbye My Friend

It is with deep regret that we must report that Corporal Nick S. Polizzotto of the South Bend Police Department, has succumbed to the gunshot injuries he recieved while responding to an armed disturbance in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 24th, 2007.

Officers arriving on the scene were then directed to the Wooden Indian Motel, located at 1631 Lincoln Way East. Moments later the officers were able to locate an armed man and were attempting to detain him when the subject shot both officers.
